New Bedford, Mass. -- Landyn Greatorex's goal with 1:08 remaining in overtime helped Salem State erase a two-goal deficit and win 3-2 over UMass Dartmouth in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action (MASCAC) on Saturday evening at Hetland Arena. The Vikings win for the third time in four games to even their record at 4-4 and improve to 3-2 in conference. The Corsairs go to 4-4 and 2-2 in conference.
How it Happened:
- Collin Patterson opened the scoring just nine seconds in, giving UMass Dartmouth a 1-0 lead.
- The Corsairs went up 2-0 thanks to a goal by Nolan Wutzke with 11:47 remaining in the first.
- Ryan Barrett cut the deficit to 2-1 for Salem State midway through the first to close out the scoring in the period.
- James Tatro then tied the game for Salem State as his shot hit underneath the crossbar and stayed in 27 seconds into the third.
- A turnover by UMass Dartmouth set up Jon Waselko, who found Greatorex all alone in front and the net, and the junior slipped the puck past goalie Marshall McKallip for the game winner.

- Will Nepveu earned the win in net with 19 saves.
- McKallip stopped 31 shots in the loss.
