Sartori Earns Little East First Team Honors

SALEM, Mass. -- Junior Madison Sartori (Amesbury, Mass.) earned first-team All-Little East women's tennis honors at No. 1 singles as announced by the league on Wednesday, October 23. The first-year transfer went 9-4 overall and helped Salem State reach the LEC post-season tournament.

Sartori produced a 6-2 conference record at the top spot and won eight of her final ten matches. Only one of her nine overall victories went to three sets.

Coach Chen recognized Sartori's accomplishment and how her approach impacted the team this year. "Madison has not played tennis since 2019 and she worked extremely hard to be back on the court. She brings great intensity and competitiveness to our team. She helped her teammates become better players and showed them how to stay focused on the court. I couldn't be happier to coach a player like Madison and we are all proud of what she accomplished."
