Young Earns MASCAC Postseason Honors
SALEM, Mass. - Salem State women's lacrosse star, Laura Young (Leominster, MA) named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Second Team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Young set multiple significant career highs. With 36 goals and 30 assists this year, Young has set a new personal record of 66 points scored in a season. Additionally, she bested herself again with 62 shots on goal (in comparison to 56 in the 2024-25 season), 72.9% of which were successful. Her strongest performance came against Farmington on April 1, where she scored 5 goals and 4 assists
Young contributed to the women's lacrosse team's success this year. They started the regular season 8-0, the best this program has seen this early. Salem entered the postseason as the fourth seed and ended their season with a first-round loss to Bridgewater State. Nevertheless, the Vikings played hard, finishing off that last game 12-9.
