Salem State Coasts Past UMaine Farmington
SALEM, Mass. -- Salem State remained unbeaten at home with a 16-3 victory over UMaine Farmington at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon. Kaylee Rich supported the offense with four goals while Jordan Turcotte and Aislinn Bennett registered three goals and a pair of assists each. The Vikings raise their record to 3-1 while the Beavers slide to 0-3.

How it Happened
- Salem State opened the scoring with three straight goals before Trefsger netted a goal for UMaine Farmington. Siobhan Smith added the first of her two goals at the 8:41 mark as the Vikings closed the first quarter on a 4-0 run with Smith and Rich accounting for two goals apiece.
- Bennett continued the momentum into the second quarter as her first goal of the game sparked another 4-0 run capped by Bennett's second score of the period with :15 seconds remaining, giving Salem State an 11-1 halftime advantage.
- Rich and Turcotte each added a goal in the third before Turcotte made it 14-1 early in the fourth with her second straight goal. Trefsger scored twice more in the fourth for the Beavers while Rich and Bennett tallied scores, making the final 16-3.
- Nora Bradley (3-1) made three saves in the win.
- Skye Cotnoir (0-3) had eight saves in the loss.
- Smith and Laura Young combined for three goals and three assists for Salem State.
- The Vikings held a 33-11 advantage in shots.
Salem State will face Regis at home next Saturday, March 15 @ 12:00 pm.
