Kleinheinz Tabbed MASCAC Rookie of The Week
SALEM, Mass. - For the first time this season, Salem State freshman infielder Ellie Kleinheinz (Santa Clara, Calif.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
Kleinheinz batted .450 (9-20) with six doubles, a home run, 10 RBI, five runs scored, a walk and stolen base with a .900 slugging percentage in a 6-0 week for the Vikings. Went 3-for-6 with three doubles and three RBI in the doubleheader sweep of MCLA. Went 4-for-8 with three doubles, six RBI and three runs scored in the doubleheader sweep of Mitchell. Went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored in the game one 13-10 win over Framingham State.tters.
Coming up this week, Kleinheinz and the Vikings will take on Westfeild State in a double header starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 2.
