THE LEAD 

The Salem State University Vikings swept a non-conference doubleheader against the Lesley University Lynx. Salem State dominated game one with a dominant offensive performance and strong defense to secure a 26–0 victory. The Vikings carried that momentum into game two, overcoming an early deficit with consistent hitting and solid defense to complete the sweep with a 20–6 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 1)

The Salem State Vikings delivered a dominant performance in a non-conference matchup overwhelming the Lesley University Lynx with a decisive 26–0 victory.

The Vikings' offense wasted no time getting started, erupting for six runs in the opening inning behind a flurry of hits and capitalizing on early defensive mistakes by the Lynx. Salem State kept the pressure on in the second, adding three more runs to build a lead.

The game broke wide open in the third inning, as the Vikings plated eight runs, stringing together timely hitting and continuing to take advantage of Lesley's struggles in the field. They capped off their offensive surge with nine runs in the fourth inning, showcasing their depth at the plate and relentless approach in game one. 

In total, Salem State tallied an impressive 21 hits in game one, consistently finding gaps and putting pressure on the Lynx defense.

Meanwhile, the Vikings' pitching and defense were equally impressive. Salem State limited Lesley to just one hit in the game, shutting down any offensive momentum and maintaining control from start to finish.

With the combined effort of explosive offense, opportunistic baserunning, and lockdown pitching, the Vikings secured a convincing 26–0 win in game one of the matchup.

• Gracie Martineau would record her 100^th career strikeout for the Vikings against the Lynxs of Lesley University in game one. 
• Allison Frost would record her 100^th career hit for the Vikings in game one against the Lynxs of Lesley University.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 2)

Salem State University completed the non-conference sweep over Lesley University with a dominant offensive performance in game two, securing the 20-6 victory over the Lynxs of Lesley University in game two. 

The Lynx came out strong to start, plating three runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead. The Vikings responded immediately in the bottom half, erupting for nine runs behind disciplined at-bats and timely hitting to quickly shift the momentum.

Salem State carried that energy into the second inning, tightening up defensively while adding four more runs to extend its advantage. Lesley continued to battle at the plate, scoring two runs in the third inning, but the Vikings answered once again with a seven-run fourth inning to create even more separation.

The Lynx added one more run in the fifth inning, but Salem State maintained control on both sides of the ball down the stretch.

The Vikings dominated offensively, totaling 12 hits while capitalizing on Lesley's defensive errors, securing a 20–6 win to complete the sweep.

• Gracie Martineau would have two doubles in game two against the Lynxs. 
• Sula Roberge , Hailey Ano would both tally a double against the Lynxs in game two. 
• Emma Quinn would have a stolen base in game two against Lesley. 
• Hailey Ano would have lead the Vikings with 4 RBIs in game two against the Lynxs of Lesley University. 
• Kianny Mirabal-Nunez, Sula Roberge, Isabelle Besser , Emma Quinn,  Gracie Martineau, Paige Souza , Katie Sullivan would all have collect at least one or more RBIs in game two against the Lynxs to secure the win.
