FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Framingham State took two from Salem State in a MASCAC doubleheader on Monday at Maple Street Field on Monday. The Rams won 9-8 and 11-8 to improve to 21-9 and 7-3 in the MASCAC. The Vikings are 15-15 and 4-6.
How It Happened
Audrey Gauthier (13-3) picked up the win in game one after giving up 11 hits nine runs -- eight earned -- with seven walks and two strikeouts. Ellie Etemad-Gilbertson was 3-for-5 with three runs.
Gracie Martineau (8-5) took the loss after allowing 11 hits, nine runs -- eight earned --with seven walks and two strikeouts and two walks.Gianna Fowler was 2-for-2 with a run, RBI and two walks.
- Trailing 3-0, Abigail Richardson put the Vikings on the board with an RBI single.
- Salem State took a 4-3 lead in the second following singles by Isabella Perrotti and Fowler.
- The Rams retook the lead in the bottom of the inning following two fielder's choices and an error.
- The Vikings retied the game in the third on Dawn Eisnor's single and Abigail Richardson's base hit.
- Salem State took an 8-6 lead in the fourth, but the Rams made it an 8-8 game after a single by Abigail Behrikis and a walk by Victoria Connelly.
- A two-out double by Makayla Rooney scored Etemad-Gilbertson with with the game-winning run in the seventh.

How It Happened
Julianna Chisholm (3-4) picked up the win in five innings of work, giving up three runs -- two earned -- on four hits with five walks and two strikeouts. Makayla Rooney went two-for-two with three runs, an RBI and two walks.
Sula Roberge (2-4) earned the loss, giving up eight hits, 11 runs -- eight earned -- with seven walks and two strikeouts. Taylor McDermott was 1-for-2 with two runs and two walks.
- Trailing 3-0 Richardson put the Vikings on the board with an RBI single.
- Back-to-back doubles by Rooney and Eliza Carignan pushed the lead to 7-1 in the third.
- A single by Isabella MacDonald and a three-run error made it 11-1 in the fourth.
- The Vikings battled back with a four-run fifth after a single by Dawn Eisnor and a three-run base hit by Tara Perryman.
- Richardson and Perrotti added RBI singles in the seventh and another hit by Allison Frost drew Salem State to within 11-8, but the Vikings left the tying runs on base.
