SALEM, Mass. – Wentworth defeated Salem State, 8-1, in the final regual season match for the Vikings on Friday afternoon. Quentin Wilkins beat Andre Juscamaita 6-4 , 7-5 at No. 1 singles for the Vikings (2-6) only point. The Leaopards are 6-13.
Wentworth swept doubles play to take a commanding 3-0 lead. At No. 3, James Weete and Thomas Kot were an 8-1 winner. Andre Juscamaita teamed with Eric Doraci to win, 8-2, at No. 1. Pranav Marwaha and Rene Rodriguez completed the sweep with an 8-2 win at No. 2.
Eric Doraci wasted little time putting the Leopards ahead, 4-0, with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles before Weete clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3.
Kot was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at No. 5, Liam Aguirre claimed a 6-1, 6-3 decision at No. 6, and Marwaha picked up Wentworth's eighth point of the match with a three-set (1-6, 6-1, 10-7) win at No. 2.
