Rhode Island College Rolls to 8-1 Win Over Salem State

BEVERLY, Mass. -- Salem State opened Little East play with an 8-1 setback to Rhode Island College at Bass River Tennis Club in Beverly, Mass. The Vikings are now 1-1 and 0-1 in the LEC while the Anchormen improve to 3-1 and 1-0 in conference.

Quentin Wilkins earned the lone point for Salem State at first singles, defeating Noah Morin, 6-3, 7-5. Mark Wood battled Travis Chartier at second singles, before losing 6-0, 7-6 in a second set tie-breaker. Elijah Gouin won, 6-0, 7-6 in a tie-breaker over Lachlan Hall at fourth singles.

Rhode Island College swept doubles play with Hall / Kevin Merino-Rivas playing a close match at third doubles against Zach Siemmao / Ricky Dagostino, who won 8-5.
