Muttiah Named LEC Tennis Player of the Week

SALEM, Mass. -- Andrew Muttiah (Gr., Colombo, Sri Lanka) was named Little East Player of the Week after going 2-0 at first singles, winning both matches in straight sets, while picking up a pair of first doubles wins for Salem State, who went 2-0 this week. Muttiah won 6-3, 6-0 and earned an 8-5 victory in doubles in the Vikings' 6-3 win against The University of St. Joseph. He then compiled a 6-2, 6-0 victory at singles and an 8-3 doubles win to help Salem State edge Rhode Island College 5-4.
