Men's Golf has Solid Outing at Rich Korzec Memorial

THE LEAD – The Salem State University Men's Golf team capped off its spring season with a strong showing at the Rich Korzec Memorial in Worcester on Monday afternoon.
SALEM STATE HIGHLIGHTS
- Salem saw two golfers earn spots in the top-10, led by Michael Murphy (Orlando, Fla.) coming in at fourth (79, +9) and Patrick Cotter (Melrose, Mass.) with an eighth-place finish (80, +10).
- Matt Tramonte (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Lucas Magliozzi (Burlington, Mass.) were not far behind with 12th-place finishes by posting a score of 81 (+11). Rounding the leaderboard for the Vikes was Anthony Choukas (Weymouth, Mass.) with an 18th-place finish, coming in at 83 (+13).
OTHER RESULTS
- Overall, Western New England won the invitational with a score of 305 (+25). Rounding out the top five were University of New England (319, +39), Salem State, Worcester State (325, +45), and Westfield State (335, +55).
- Derek Johnson of Western New England led all golfers with a 71 (+1) on the day.
