Athletics Shatters Viking Warrior Day Record
SALEM, Mass. - Behind the generous support of 363 donors, Salem State University Athletics raised $31,132 during the annual 1,854-minute Viking Warrior Day campaign, setting a new program record for dollars raised in the nine-year history of the event. The University as a whole raised $188,832 with 743 donors, with Athletics accounting for nearly 48 percent of the total donors to the campaign.
The men's soccer program claimed the top spot in the team competition once again, earning $12,307 while earning a $750 challenge gift for raising the most dollars. Women's soccer finished second by raising $4,665, earning a $500 challenge gift for raising the second-most dollars. Finally, women's volleyball capped off the top three by bringing in $4,375 and earning a $250 challenge gift for raising the third most dollars.
Salem State University Athletics thanks all those who participated in making the 2026 Viking Warrior Day the most successful ever, and we look forward to raising the bar yet again in 2027.
